Clark Ian Bridge

It has been great fun, following Glo on her pregnancy journey....for me.  Every Wednesday, she would be one week further along, and I would check online to see the size of her baby. John on the other hand? He could do nothing but stress the entire 39 weeks.   At six weeks, she went in for an ultrasound with John.  He just wanted to see that she had an actual baby.  And she did! At 12 weeks, another ultrasound, and John ordered a "Panorama" test which would tell Glo any and all genetic abnormalities as well as the gender of the baby. Deep breath. I sometimes think that being pregnant with less knowledge 30 years ago was less stressful than being able to know SO MUCH now. Thankfully, there were no detected genetic problems.  That's what's really important. But let's be real.  We really just wanted to know what the baby was. Johannah's Wedding Day!

As I write the title for this post, I chuckle a bit.  I don't think anything in the Kennedy canon has ever taken just one day , and Hannah's wedding was not different. Once Hannah and Trevor were engaged, finding a date that worked was a bit tricky.  I had my surgery scheduled for the first week of June, Rebecca was expecting a baby in August, we have a million birthdays in September and October, and Glo's baby was due in October.  The newly engaged couple didn't really want to wait until November and run into holidays, so July it was.   Hot July. Super hot July. And when I sat down on the hotel bed with Trevor and Hannah just days after they were engaged, I asked Trevor what was the hill that he would die on for this wedding.  In other words, what was most important to him to have his way when planning it.
